About Activ Physiotherapy

Meet Our Sheffield, Doncaster & Derbyshire Physiotherapy Team

Activ Physiotherapy was primarily a Sheffield Sports Injury Clinic that was established in June 2007 in Totley, Sheffield and gained a good reputation for providing excellent care with a high proportion of recommended referrals. In 2012 it merged with two other popular, successful Sheffield physiotherapy practices, Bradway Physiotherapy clinic in Bradway, Sheffield and Hope Physiotherapy clinic in the Hope valley, Derbyshire. The merger helped Activ Physiotherapy provide a more flexible, diverse, affordable and specialised service to both clients and local communities in South Sheffield and Derbyshire. In 2015, a new clinic in Balby Doncaster was opened so Activ physiotherapy could offer their services to a new region. In 2016, the clinics in Totley and Hope each moved to new, larger premises with a second treatment room, more flexible hours and gym access (Totley) available. In 2017 a new larger clinic opened in Doncaster in the Woodfield Squash and leisure club providing gym rehabilitation and Pilates classes, as well as physiotherapy.

Our team have many years’ experience between them and are all chartered, state registered physiotherapists and are members of the Health and Care Professions Council. With our varied experience we can provide specialist services for musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries, acupuncture, women’s health therapy (including pre- and post-natal), Pilates classes, pain management advice, bike fitting assessments and golf screening. In addition, with our close links with Peveril Podiatry we also now offer specialist podiatry services and treatments for foot and ankle problems.

All clinics are easily accessible from other areas by car, bus or train and have parking available and disabled access. Clinic facilities also include all the latest technology in electrotherapy, changing facilities and gym access in Totley. Activ Physiotherapy is recognised by all major insurance companies, including BUPA, AXA and Westfield Health. It is open six days a week with evening appointments and home visits available.

If, after viewing the physio profiles, you would like specific Sheffield physiotherapists then please drop us a line to book this in for you. We will do our best to accomodate you and fit you into a schedule as best we can. The Sheffield physiotherapists who you would like to assess you will operate out of one of our Sheffield physiotherapy clinics at Bradway or Totley. We will try to get the assessment/treatment with your chosen Sheffield physiotherapist at a clinic close to where you live, however we cannot guarantee this unfortunately.

And the same would apply if you would like an assessment/treatment with one of our Doncaster physiotherapists or our Derbyshire physiotherapists. We will try and make this appointment for you but you may have to travel to other clinics that are not necessarily in your immediate vicinity.
