WE CELEBRATE ROB'S DECADE OF DEDICATION TO ACTIV AND OUR WONDERFUL PATIENTS!

Rob came to work for us on 8th September 2014. and it was a double celebration as it was his wife Sarah's birthday! I remember his interview, as it was full of laughs, and he impressed us with his professionalism, experience and attitude to providing care. We knew he would fit in well with the team and would be loved by the patients and staff alike.

He has been amazing over the last 10 years. He's filled in anywhere he has been needed, and has been willing to get stuck in and work unsocial hours, working evenings and weekends for us. For many years he worked on Saturdays, and continues to work on our 'late' Thursday nights up until 8pm. He's worked in our clinics in Bradway, Doncaster – and now Totley. He worked for five years in our occupational health clinic in Cadbury's Sheffield factory and has taken part in training staff and supervising students.

It is safe to say that our patients love Rob!  He has his own fan club of patients who always ask to be booked in with him for assessment and treatment and there's never a bad word said about him. He is highly respected by the Activ team. Apart from his corny jokes, he's a top bloke and a fellow Sheffield Wednesday fan – which is a huge bonus!

In 2023, Rob moved into a more managerial role (he is now Activ's General Manager) and has helped me a great deal with developing the practice further and helping make it a success. He is responsible for stocktaking and is very organised. Rob set up, and runs, the Activ Kids service for children who take part in regular sport and is a recognised Kids Back 2 Sport Practitioner. His specialised clinic here at Activ, is extremely popular. Rob helps sporty, injured children receive the right treatment and exercise, rehabilitation and recovery plan to enable them to return to whatever sport they play. Rob has also been a driving force behind our new Activ Home domiciliary service where our physios come to your home to treat you.

Thank you, Rob, for your 10 years of service! Here is to the future and your continued support to me, the team and our Activ patients.

We presented Rob with a Track Day voucher so he can drive  a sports car round a race track. I couldn’t afford to buy him a sports car!

What Rob had to say…

Rob told InterActiv: '

The last 10 years at Activ Physiotherapy has been an interesting journey. The practice definitely seems to have gone from strength to strength, and one of the big factors is the friendly, welcoming and flexible atmosphere which I think brings out the best in staff and patients alike. I look forward to my 50% pay rise with great eagerness, as I would love to save up for a bicycle!'
