Activ’s Plans for 2025

As we steam into 2025, we are excited to let you know what we have in store at our Totley and Hope clinics. Last year, we spent a lot of time and effort developing our core services for Activ Physiotherapy. We are extremely proud of what we have achieved and this year we shall be focusing on these services:

Activ Kids has grown in popularity and Rob has been busy successfully treating youth athletes to help them recover and rehabilitate so they can return to playing the sport they love, whether it is football, gymnastics or any other sporting activity. So often,  sporting injury can prevent a youth athlete from progressing and that's where Rob's expertise comes to the fore. He continues to expand his training and we have purchased some sport specific equipment and some digital assessment tools for the clinic to support this service.

Suvarna's women's health service, Activ Women, currently run in our Totley clinic, has proven popular and she has helped many ladies with pregnancy-related or gynaecological issues. We  have received lots of lovely feedback and this year George and Suvarna hope to further develop this service in Hope too. They will link the service with specialist consultants and also provide education to specialist interest groups. We will let you know about any interesting developments which could benefit our female patients.

Activ Home, a domiciliary service we set up last summer, has also been a real hit with patients who are unable to visit us. Holly has been visiting people in their homes and this year will be expanding the popular services to residential and nursing home residents. She has been getting increasingly busy so we shall be looking to employ an assistant to continue exercising the patients, which will allow Holly to assess more people.

Incorporating our successful sports massage service, Activ Sports is growing from strength-to-strength and this year we introduced our 'Pay For Three And Get One Free' amazing offer which is particularly enjoyed by patients training for an event like a marathon or other running race. You buy upfront a 'package' of four one hour sports therapy sessions for the price of three and the offer applies to treatment sessions with either Debbie or Katie –  our popular Totley-based Sports Massage Therapists. Both are keen runners (to put it mildly!) and are featured in this month's newsletter. We are actively looking for a Sports Massage Therapist for our Hope clinic (the same package offer will be available) so watch this space!

Andy, in Totley, and Sujay, in Hope, have been keeping up with the latest sports rehabilitation ideas. Andy’s running and golf clinics have proven successful and he will continue to help all you runners and golfers with your issues and link up with local clubs.

Our newest service, Activ Work saw the return of a popular physiotherapist from days gone by. Clare has made her triumphant return as our specialist in occupational health and this year, we shall be in touch with small to medium-sized businesses to offer our help to staff who are struggling with their work-related issues.

George is keen to continue the development of Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) dysfunction working alongside dentists, maxillofacial specialists and ENT consultants.

In addition to all of these plans, we hope to continue serving our local communities through our charitable work, maybe even re-entering the exhilarating Dragon Boat Race organised for the second year by The Children’s Hospital Charity. We hope to improve on our 2024 second place finish and will continue to inform you of what else is happening. Plus, we will continue to provide useful advice through our newsletter, social media and videos on our YouTube channel.
